Why I Prioritize Reading Medium Paid Members Articles: Because I Should

I am a firm believer that we receive what we put out into the world. While I would love to be a writer curated among some of the best writers on this platform, I’ll settle for something else:

Having more paid members read my writing.

In order to attract more of these writers to my humble musings, I am going to do the same: I’m going to read at least 10 paid members' articles a day.

Up for the Challenge

At the height of the pandemic, I maintained a personal blog where I shared the best tips on surviving the work-from-home shift.

At the time, I was averaging 3000 views a month and made some minor ducats for my efforts. The challenge: the platform I used makes you wait until you have $100 in revenue saved before paying out and I am woefully behind my $100 goal on that platform.

My shift to Medium was initially because the threshold was much lower and writers were paid monthly. And then it was getting 100 followers in order to get paid — a challenge I accepted and have been able to keep steady for the past month.

The next challenge: getting paid members to read my writing!
